Recently, the results of the first “Qingchuang Cup” Innovation and Creativity Competition of China Poly Group were announced. The project “High-efficiency Recycling of Retired Lithium Iron Phosphate Batteries and Preparation of High-performance Lithium Iron Phosphate (Manganese) Positive Electrode Materials” developed by GDE won the Science and Technology Innovation and Creativity Award
The project “High-efficiency Recycling of Retired Lithium Iron Phosphate Batteries and Preparation of High-performance Lithium Iron Phosphate (Manganese) Positive Electrode Materials” participated in this competition. By dismantling, discharging, crushing and classifying waste batteries, the project uses controlled potential leaching to selectively recover important elements such as lithium, iron and phosphorus in the positive electrode, thereby achieving comprehensive recycling of positive and negative electrode materials of batteries and solving the current situation of waste of waste battery resources and low recycling rate. The recovered metal resources can be used to prepare a new generation of lithium iron phosphate (manganese) positive electrode materials, which can be widely used in power batteries and energy storage systems, providing strong support for the construction of a closed-loop recycling system for lithium iron phosphate batteries.
